Precautions
Because this is incisional surgery, scars remain along the incision lines, and how the scars settle depends on your skin condition and the healing process. After surgery there may be swelling, bruising, and a feeling of tightness, and in rare cases bleeding or hematoma, infection, reduced sensation, facial nerve injury, or left–right asymmetry may occur. Please tell us at your pre-surgery consultation about any medications you take, including blood thinners such as anticoagulants, as well as any medical conditions and whether you smoke. During recovery, please avoid alcohol and smoking and attend follow-up visits as scheduled. Please make your decision after you have been fully informed of the risks and of alternative options. Results and recovery vary from person to person.

Does a deep plane facelift also improve neck sagging, or do I need a neck lift?
ETONNE's deep plane facelift is planned after analyzing the condition of the skin on both the face and the neck. Depending on the degree of neck wrinkles and laxity, a neck lift may be planned together with it, and whether to combine them is decided at the consultation after an examination.
How long does the surgery take, and what anesthesia is used?
The surgery takes about 4 hours under general anesthesia or sleep anesthesia. After surgery you either go home the same day or stay in the hospital for about 1 day, and which is right for you is decided together after an examination.
When are the stitches removed, and when can I return to daily life?
Stitches are removed about 7–10 days after surgery, and makeup is possible from about 2 days after surgery. About 2–3 follow-up visits are needed to check your progress. How quickly swelling and bruising subside varies from person to person.
How is a facelift different from a Mini-Max Lift or a thread lift?
ETONNE takes a step-by-step approach, from non-invasive treatments to surgery, depending on the degree of sagging. For the lower face, thread lifting and non-incisional elastic thread lifting are methods that do not involve wide incisions, the Mini-Max Lift is a partial lift with a reduced incision range, and the deep plane facelift is incisional surgery that addresses sagging over a wider area.
Will there be scars?
Because this is incisional surgery, scars remain along the incision lines. The incision locations and scar care are explained at the pre-surgery consultation, and how much the scars fade varies from person to person depending on skin condition and the healing process.
