ETONNE BALANCED BODY

Partial Liposuction

Also called Targeted Liposuction

Partial liposuction is a surgery that suctions fat from chosen areas that are hard to manage with exercise or diet alone, such as the abdomen, thighs, or upper arms, to refine the lines of those areas and balance the body. The areas and amount to suction are decided by analyzing your body condition, fat distribution, and skin elasticity, and the surgery is performed under local or sleep anesthesia. At ETONNE in Gangnam, Seoul (Gangnam-daero, Nonhyeon Station), the surgery is performed by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Cho Jeongmok.

Line of the body over weight.

More important than body weight is the line of the body. For a healthy and beautiful figure,
ETONNE analyzes properly from the very start and cares for you thoroughly.

A lighter body.

Accurately grasping the condition of the body and analyzing it from many angles, we suction
the fat of the desired areas and keep the skin's elasticity. As only a part of the body is involved, the burden is smaller,
and with ETONNE's post-surgery care system we smooth and refine the result, reducing excess flesh for a light
body line.

Balanced Body.

Putting safety first, and working to reduce bleeding, tissue damage, and scarring.
Board-certified plastic surgeons with rich experience in body contouring focus on improving
the abdomen, thighs, arms and other areas that were hard to manage with exercise or diet alone, balancing the body as a whole
to give motivation for managing the figure from now on.

Meticulous surgery, healthy recovery.

A board-certified plastic surgeon with skilled technique and a delicate touch operates swiftly to minimize strain on the body, and we do our best to care for you after surgery for a healthier life.

Reducing fat, filling happiness.

Body contouring is not a complex formed over a short time, so many people come to us after long deliberation, gathering their courage. On the surface, you may think a plastic surgeon simply examines the body for a beautiful body line, but ETONNE sees this as a field that treats both the body and the mind. Knowing well where the line should go in and where the volume should come out is ETONNE's skill, born of experienced medical technique and a keen sense.

Precautions

Swelling and bruising may occur after surgery, and how long they take to subside varies from person to person. Small scars may remain at the small 2–3 mm openings through which fat is suctioned, and in rare cases bleeding, infection, inflammation, or left–right asymmetry may occur, which may require additional treatment. The skin surface of the suctioned areas may look uneven or bumpy, and if skin elasticity is insufficient, the skin where the fat has been reduced may look saggy. Seroma, a collection of fluid at the surgical site, may develop, or the suctioned areas may feel numb. For the first 24 hours after surgery, wearing a compression garment is recommended; for 1 week after that, it is worn during the day only, and after that, wearing it while resting at home until 1 month after surgery is helpful. Please tell us at your pre-surgery consultation about any medications you take, including blood thinners such as anticoagulants, as well as any medical conditions and whether you smoke. During recovery, please avoid alcohol and smoking and attend follow-up visits as scheduled. Please make your decision after you have been fully informed of the risks and of alternative options. Results and recovery vary from person to person.

FAQ

Which areas is partial liposuction performed on?

Fat is suctioned from chosen areas that are hard to manage with exercise or diet alone, such as the abdomen, thighs, or upper arms. To suction several areas in a single surgery and refine the lines of the whole body, full body liposuction is considered, and which one suits you is decided after examining your fat distribution and skin elasticity.

Does liposuction reduce body weight? Will I gain weight again after surgery?

Liposuction is not a weight-loss treatment; it is a surgery that reduces fat in areas that do not shrink easily with exercise or diet in order to refine the lines of the body. The fat cells that are suctioned out do not come back, but the remaining fat cells can grow larger if you gain weight, so weight management is still needed after surgery. Regular exercise and a healthy diet help maintain the lines of the body, and in the early recovery period we recommend starting with light exercise such as stretching and walking rather than running or strenuous strength training.

How long do I wear a compression garment after surgery?

For the first 24 hours after surgery, wearing a compression garment is recommended; for 1 week after that, it is worn during the day only, and after that, wearing it while resting at home until 1 month after surgery is helpful.

Where will the scars be?

Fat is suctioned through small openings of about 2–3 mm made in the creases where the body folds, so small scars may remain there. In areas without creases, such as the upper arms, the openings are stitched and the stitches are removed after about 7 days. How the scars settle varies depending on your skin condition, so scar laser care is provided according to your progress after surgery.

What are the anesthesia, surgery time, and recovery schedule?

The surgery takes about 30–180 minutes under local or sleep anesthesia, and you go home the same day without hospitalization. Where stitches are placed, they are removed after about 7 days, light exercise is possible from about 3–5 days after surgery, and about one follow-up visit is needed after surgery. How long swelling and bruising take to subside varies from person to person.
