ETONNE REBUILT NOSE SURGERY
Nasal Tip Surgery
Also called Nasal Tip Plasty, Tip Rhinoplasty
Nasal tip surgery is a surgery that builds the structure of the nasal tip with autologous cartilage such as septal cartilage, ear cartilage, or rib cartilage to refine the shape and height of the nasal tip and the angle it forms with the columella. Unlike rhinoplasty by nose shape and type, which addresses the nasal bridge and nasal tip together, it focuses on correcting the nasal tip. At ETONNE in Gangnam, Seoul (Gangnam-daero, Nonhyeon Station), the surgery is performed by board-certified plastic surgeons Dr. Kim Harkyoung, Dr. Kim Jaegon, and Dr. Koo Heetae.

ETONNE Rhinoplasty POINT
01 Individually tailored surgery
We make individually tailored surgery our principle. We design considering each person's nasal condition and shape,
facial harmony and personal taste.
We minimize the weak points and bring out only the strengths to create the most ideal nose.
02 Named surgeon system and dedicated responsibility
From the surgical plan, the review of the comprehensive examination and the surgery to post-operative progress care,
the designated medical team in charge provides 1:1 tailored management throughout.
03 A naturally beautiful nose
With the know-how of skilled specialists, surgery is carried out so that the nose, the center of the face, harmonizes
with the forehead, cheekbones, eyes, chin and lips.
04 Safe and responsible post-surgery care
With safety systems inside and outside the operating room, such as a safe anesthesia system and an uninterruptible power system,
we place safety above all else.
POINT 1.
ETONNE's Anthropometrics
ETONNE measures the detailed structures of the nose and their sizes in detail,
and when needed checks even the parts that cannot be seen with the naked eye
through 3D-CT.
It also considers the position and height of the forehead, the position of the chin tip, the glabella and the philtrum,
as well as the shape and line the client wants,
to present a surgical result of high completeness.
One Line
a. The line reaching from the glabella to the tip of the nose and its curvature
Two heights
b. The height of the nasal tip c. The height of the glabella
Three angles
d. The angle between the forehead/glabella and the nasal bridge e. The angle between the nasal tip and the columella f. The angle between the columella and the lips
POINT 2.
Optimal material selection
for the patient's condition and needs
Septal Cartilage
Harvested from inside the nose, so the harvesting process is easier than with other cartilages
It has a suitable thickness and strength and almost no curvature, so it is easy to shape
Used to build up the nasal tip or the nasal bridge
Ear Cartilage
The incision is made behind the ear, so the scar lies behind the ear
Its shape resembles the nose and it is round and elastic, so it is easy to build the structure of the nasal tip
Suitable for use when the amount of septal cartilage is insufficient
Rib Cartilage
Support and durability are strong, and a sufficient amount can be secured
Used when the amount of septal or ear cartilage is insufficient, when the nose is very low, or in revision surgery
The most important thing is to use a suitable material
that fits you, and to use it safely.
Since the amount of cartilage tissue and skin elasticity differ from person to person,
ETONNE assesses each patient's condition accurately
and selects the optimal material.
“I will not leave the operating room until his or her
nose looks as good as I can make it.”

Surgical Detail Design
In rhinoplasty there is no surgical material that is a perfect answer,
one that completely matches the patient's needs.
The final material and the method of nose surgery must be adopted
after considering the patient's current nasal condition
and a variety of circumstances.
Before rhinoplasty, ETONNE checks and carries out
many things so as not to miss even the smallest detail
about the patient's condition.
Just as a foundation must be firm

Precautions
Swelling and bruising may occur after surgery, and how long they take to subside varies from person to person. A scar remains at the incision site, and because ear cartilage is harvested through an incision behind the ear and rib cartilage through an incision along the crease beneath the chest, a scar also remains at the harvest site. In rare cases bleeding, infection, inflammation, or left–right asymmetry may occur, which may require additional treatment. A nasal tip built with autologous cartilage may turn out different in height or shape from what was planned as it heals, which may require further correction. In the early period after surgery, you may have nasal congestion, a feeling of difficulty breathing, or reduced sensation in the nasal tip, and when rib cartilage is used, the cartilage may warp and change the shape. Please tell us at your pre-surgery consultation about any medications you take, including blood thinners such as anticoagulants, as well as any medical conditions and whether you smoke. During recovery, please avoid alcohol and smoking and attend follow-up visits as scheduled. Please make your decision after you have been fully informed of the risks and of alternative options. Results and recovery vary from person to person.
Who It's For
When the nasal tip is low or blunt and the shape of the nose does not look defined
When the angle formed by the nasal tip, columella, and lips does not suit your face
When the shape and height of the nasal tip, rather than the nasal bridge, are your main concern
Can nasal tip plasty be done alone, without surgery on the nasal bridge?
Yes. If the shape and height of the nasal tip are your main concern, nasal tip surgery can be done on its own. However, because the nasal tip forms proportions with the nasal bridge and the alae, at ETONNE we diagnose the overall shape, position, and proportions of the nose and then decide at your consultation whether to combine it with nasal bridge correction or alar reduction.
What materials are used in tip rhinoplasty? Is an implant inserted?
Nasal tip surgery at ETONNE is done with autologous tissue only, without an implant. Septal cartilage is harvested from inside the nose and ear cartilage through an incision behind the ear, and rib cartilage is used when there is not enough of these two cartilages or when the nose is very low. The material is decided after examining the amount of cartilage tissue, skin elasticity, and other factors.
Will there be scars? Is it open rhinoplasty with a columella incision?
The surgery is usually done as open rhinoplasty, with an incision in the columella, so a scar remains on the columella. If ear cartilage is used, a scar also remains behind the ear, and if rib cartilage is used, along the crease beneath the chest; how the scar settles varies depending on your skin condition.
What are the anesthesia, surgery time, and recovery schedule?
The surgery takes about 60 minutes under local anesthesia or sleep anesthesia, and you go home the same day without hospitalization. The packing inside the nose is removed after 1 day, no splint is applied, and stitches are removed in two stages, after 5 days and after 10 days. Makeup is possible from about 5 days after surgery, and about 2–3 follow-up visits are needed after surgery. How long swelling and bruising take to subside varies from person to person.
