Your skin may turn red or tingle after care, and how long this takes to subside varies from person to person. Red marks may remain where extraction care was done, and how much they fade depends on your skin condition. After peeling or PDT care, the skin may flake or become dry, and hyperpigmentation, in which the area that received care turns darker for a while, may occur. PDT care involves applying a medication to the skin and then exposing it to light; afterwards the skin may be sensitive to light for a while, so you need to avoid sunlight as instructed, and in rare cases a burn may occur. Hyperbaric Oxygen Recovery Care is received inside a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, and as the pressure changes, your ears may feel blocked or you may feel pressure in your ears. If you have a cold, a middle ear infection, or sinusitis, have a lung condition, or are uncomfortable in confined spaces, please tell us at your consultation. In rare cases, infection or inflammation may occur, which may require additional treatment. Which care you receive and how many sessions you need depend on your skin condition, and how noticeable the effect is and how long it lasts vary from person to person. Please tell us at your pre-care consultation about any medications you take, any medical conditions, whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding, any allergies or skin conditions, and any procedures you have had recently, and please contact the clinic if anything feels wrong after care.
